How can I improve Broken Link Checker?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Tools | Broken Links | All, unable to get to page 2 of results

    When I go to the Tools area and open the Broken Links tool and select "All" I get a list of 100 links in the site. Since 50 display per page, there are two pages of results. When I click on the link to go to page 2, nothing happens. Any ideas?

  2. wordpress-mu

    Please consider the broken link checker to work with wordpress-mu (mulitsites). I use wordpress mu and when I install broken link checker, it only works for the mainsite. When I run the plugin with my wordpress mu, it just checks the mainsite again.

  4. Allow for a full reset

    Often the permalink format has to be changed (temporarily). This leads to broken links not detected by "recheck" as they were declared "not broken" by the admin when the old permalink format was in place.

  5. Valid links on Private pages to other Private pages should not be flagged as broken.

    Public content having all valid links can be made Private. If a Private page now correctly links to another Private page, that link is considered broken. This commonly happens when a page containing an embedded image is made private and the image link is now considered broken.

  6. what files do you edit to change the default settings

    the default server load and frequency settings crash my shared-hosting site when I activate the link checker. I'd like to edit the files so the link has lower server load settings

  10. Put broken URL in 'title' parameter

    Option to remove anchor HREF parameter and put URL in TITLE parameter for broken links, with option to either append URL to TITLE data, or replace TITLE data with URL.

  12. youtube api quota limit

    I have a huge video website. With more then 30.000 posts. And there seems to be a youtube quota limit I encounter. As a result its says the links are broken. Be mostly they are not. Is there a solution for this?

  13. make compatible with wordpress 3.2

    Love the plugin. Found compatibility issue with WP 3.2.

    See error:

  16. Include Custom Post Types and Taxonomies

    More and more plugins are using custom post types to create link libraries, image libraries, trouble ticket systems, shopping carts, etc. Much of the new development is in this area, and those are the kind of links and images that need to be checked.

  17. Links on sub-directory-installed WordPress coming up as broken

    I have my WordPress installed to a sub-directory on the server root. This plugin is detecting many links in my blog as broken when they are not. What's happening is it's throwing the sub-directory in front of the permalink, which is incorrect. It's happening on links like this:

    <a href="#somePageAnchor">asdf</a>

  20. Automate Unlinking or Allow Cron Job

    I really need a way to automate the unlinking of broken links in my blog. Is there a way to do this via cron job or can you create this functionality?
