  2. My security scanner spotted that a database backup file had some suspect links. When I investigated it was in the wsswpblclinks table in the "final_url" column.

Perhaps broken link checker could incorporate a URL malware check too?

  3. I have different custom fields which only include one link each. And the system does not even find them.
Too bad. Beside that your plugin is really a great help

  6. Sometimes images stop working as well. Blogs that link & embed images from other sites accrue thousands of images that go 'dark' over the years. This can lead to a huge amount of SEO problems.

  7. A link could be valid, as far as not returning a timeout or error, yet go to content that is no longer what it was when it was originally linked. Idea is to allow for an option to mark link as bad if a specific string is not present in the linked content.

  11. There is a small error in polish translation. In "Settings" menu, your plugin is called "Lick checker".

  15. It read the chinese file name with unsuitable coding, so the broken plugin treat the correct chinese file name as some strange file name.

  16. Hi, please have a look at one of my (test) posts at
    http://artistrudolfmegert.artbabyart.net/directory/204/useroo-listing-total-1
and you see how absolutely ridiculous this looks, using the only option to deal with dead links or redirects in bulk, the "unlink" option leaves the ton of dead skeletons behind (the link text, in this case all URL's that simply no longer link).
Please create an option to get rid of this final trash too, something like
"Remove complete Link" as a bulk tool option, many thanks for your effort in advance.

  17. Sometimes a link is found to be broken at some point, the admin gets an email to that effect and a little while later goes to the broken links page to verify.

The admin or another editor may (unwittingly) have deleted the broken link in the mean time. If that's the case, the plugin starts throwing errors as it is trying to retrieve the blogroll link object while it doesn't exists anymore.

So basically I'm suggesting that before displaying the broken links page, a quick check should be done for blogroll links to check if the link still exists and…

  20. If the user cannot get online immediately to correct the link or dismiss it as unbroken, have an option to set the post/page as "private" or "draft" until later.
