    > 1. Just external links.
You can already do that by searching for your domain name.

    > 2. Show links from pages only (exclude posts)
Search -> Link Type -> Pages.

    > 3. Date.
Sounds reasonable, I'll add it to my long term to-do list.

    > 4. Category.
This doesn't seem very practical. Different post types can have different taxonomies, and not all of them are hierarchical. Would you really want a separate column for each possible taxonomy per post type?

    > 5. Status of the post.
This also sounds reasonable, but it might only apply to posts and not other link sources.

If you have post revisions enabled, you might be able to restore an older revision that still had the images.

Can you post a couple of examples of that embed code? I've tried copying the iframe-based code straight from YouTube and it works fine with BLC, so I would guess that theme is using some kind of modified embed code or something like a shortcode.

The plugin does not fully support Multisite. However, false positives are usually caused by something else, like server configuration issues.

I can't seem to reproduce this bug. The plugin already uses the "add_link" and "delete_link" hooks to detect when a new blogroll link is added or deleted. I tested it on a local site, and when I deleted a blogroll link, the corresponding "Broken Links" entry was also removed.

This probably wouldn't be practical for most sites since the list would be HUGE and slow to display. Even a relatively small site can have thousands of links.

This has been suggested before, but I'm not entirely clear on how people would prefer this sorting to work.

If you don't mind, could you clarify a couple of things about your feature suggestion?

    1) When sorting by status, how would you prefer the links to be ordered? I could implement it in many different ways - sort them numerically by HTTP status code, or alphabetically by status text, or by overall status (broken/warning/ok/unknown), or some other option.

Note that some links may not even have an associated HTTP code because, for example, they timed out or were marked as broken by the YouTube API.

    2) How should this sorting feature handle links that appear in multiple places? People often use the same link URL in many different sources (e.g. posts) and with different link texts.

At the moment, the plugin displays either the first instance it found, or whichever text/source best fits the current search criteria.

Sorry, there is no better solution at the moment. The plugin does not support checking links that require login.

Technically, HTTPS links are already supported. Maybe there's something wrong with that particular link. Could you tell me the link URL and the error message displayed by the plugin?

Perhaps. I'm not planning to add support for third-party plugins at the moment, but if there's demand for it, I might do it in the future.

By the way, you can disable comment checking in Settings -> Link Checker -> Look For Links In.

Try under Posts -> All posts -> Trash, they might still be there.

Known issue, but unfortunately it's not something that can be easily fixed.

Can you also include a .mo file? I tried to generate it myself but got a lot of "invalid control code" errors.

No, I'm not hiding the sub-directory on my site.

If you're still running into problems even with plugins deactivated, I would suggest that the problem is with your WP configuration, not a plugin. Plugins can't affect your site when they're inactive.

Do the "WordPress address" or "Site address" settings (in Settings -> General) have the hidden directory in them?

I can't reproduce this bug. I have a blog installed in a subdirectory and when I add an anchor link to a post, BLC parses the URL correctly (i.e. doesn't lose the subdirectory name).

Some background info: When BLC encounters an #anchor or link in a post, it basically just runs get_permalink() to retrieve the post URL and tacks the anchor onto the end. Assuming that get_permalink returns the correct URL, I don't see how it could end up with the subdir stripped out.

There is currently no built-in way to automate unlinking.

As for adding tracking failure_count, the check_count field already kind of does this. For working links it's always 0, and for broken links it indicates the number of consecutive failed checks. So you could do an SQL query with something like "WHERE broken = 1 AND check_count > =10" to get the links you want to unlink.

Alas, that's not possible. Not without a major rewrite of the plugin.

Workaround: Go to the settings page, click "Edit CSS" and delete everything from the text field that contains the CSS code. The plugin will not add the style tag to the header if this field is empty.

The URL checks out OK when I run it through the plugin here, so whatever causes the false positive is probably specific to your server, not the plugin in general.

The most common causes for this sort of problem are:
    * PHP running in "safe mode".
    * PHP running in "open_basedir".
    * Old version of CURL installed.
    * Misconfigured hotlink protection scripts/server settings.

You can check the first three by clicking the "Show debug info" link in Settings -> Link Checker. It'll show a warning message if one of those issues is present.

Also, could you post the full checker log for that link? You can access the log by clicking on the contents of the "Status" column (where it shows the error message).

Note: If necessary, you can also contact me directly at whiteshadow@w-shadow.com instead of posting here.
