Theme function for checking links
In my custom theme, I'd like to hide any broken pingback links in my comments feed. However, I do not want to merely hide the link itself, but the block container as well. It'd be great if I could do something like this:
if (functionexists('blcisbrokenlink'))
{
if (!blcisbrokenlink('http://...'))
{
outputpingback();
}
}
else
{
output_pingback();

If an HTTPS resource is available, consider links to the non-SSL version to be broken.
Many sites support HTTP and HTTPS as part of a transition to a more secure Web presence. To help ease such a transition, Broken Link Checker could also inexpensively check to see if a resource accessed over HTTP is also available over SSL. If no SSL/TLS-secured response is returned, future resources at the same domain do not need to try SSL, since a pretty safe assumption can be made that the particular domain checked does not support it. However, if it does, then it would be smart to suggest that the HTTP version of the resource is "broken" because an…

Apply broken link css for adminsitrators/authors only
I would like to have the ability to add the CSS that displays broken links to administrators or authors only, not to anyone who visits the site. Currently it shows the CSS regardless if you are logged into the site or not.

Feature Request : Auto-generate list of all site links (via shortcode)
Hi Jānis Elsts
I see that 'Broken Link Checker' includes the total number of links that it has found, but it would be great to be able to generate a list of these too.
I want to create an index for my site, and this would be a useful feature that I have not found any other plugin to be able to do.
It would be very useful for this plugin to offer a SHORTCODE feature, so that I can display an alphabetical list of all my site links on a page.
Thanks, and keep up the good work. :-)

Auto detect link start with http://
My website using custom filed with data like:
ep1#http://link.com
ep2#http://link2.com
...
So this plugin can't detect the link.
I suggest this plugin auto detect link with special character before http://3 votes -
More filters for Links
I would like to have more available filters in the Link-overview.
- Just list external links
- Show links from pages only (exclude posts)

After activation show options panel _before_ it starts parsing
The plugin makes all my admin pages to go blank as soon as it is activated. And, yes, I have traced back the error to this particular plugin. I have the feeling that it places a high stress on my server configuration (... it still works in the background, as I receive an emai message somo time later).
If only I could configure some options after activating the plugin but before it started parsing my blog I could probably minimize this problem. OR if it could be manually "started" from the options page..3 votes -

Hey Janis, Great Plugin!
Been using this for a couple of years now, one of my must haves on any site!
My one wish.. For it to pick up on YouTube videos which are no longer active and leave the snow blizzard vid on your site... Any chance Janis?

Dismiss as Bulk action
There are several redirects I want to stay as they are. But there is no dismiss option in the bulk menu, so I have to dismiss them one by one :(

Remove link/source from BLC database: the "surgical option" vs. the nuclear option
WP 4.0.1
BLC 1.10.3In Settings/BLC/Advanced, I have a button for a "Forced recheck" of all pages. This "nuclear option" clears the entire BLC database which forces the plugin to rescan all posts (and/or pages, etc.) for links, enter them in to the database, and check the link.
As far as I can tell, there is not currently a way to do remove links and/or sources (e.g., a page) from the BLC database unless I use the nuclear option.
An example of when this surgical option would have been useful: because of BLC, I found that hundreds of old links…

"check each link" at a specific time to reduce the load during high peak period
It would be helpful to set a more flexible schedule for the "check each link" feature. Instead of checking every X hours I would love to check each link every sunday morning, when the server load is low.

Automatically unlink (without human supervision) links from specified domains
Some domains die, over time. When they are really dead for good, why do they need human supervision when they appear in the Broken or Redirection sections ?
BLC ought to have a configuration option where we specify the domains to consider dead and immediately unlink, without caring about showing them in the reports asking for human decision :)3 votes -
Love this plugin, but for some reason it has a conflict with the secondary navigation (with Genesis theme?)
When I change the url of a page, Broken Link Checker finds the it under the Redirect tab. I and I ask it to "Fix Redirects".
The problem is that when I do, it changes the Secondary Navigation menu to the default, which puts the wrong menu on that redirected page. #Glitch
It took me a while to figure it out, but hope you can help.
Blessings,
