  2. Broken Link Checker doesn't seem to be able to find links located in tables? At least it doesn't on my site.... http://www.tenpoundbackpack.com/gear-lists/lightweight-backpacks/ for an example. This seems like it should work but it definitely does not. Xenu, for example, has no problem finding these links but replacing them all is so much work doing it that way. Anyway some help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  4. I have been slowly going through my decent-sized (~45 items) list of broken links, at a few per week, when I have time. Most of them are archived on the Wayback Machine at web.archive.org, but searching the archive is tedious to do manually.

It would be quite awesome if BLC could link directly to the Wayback results for each broken link. Even better would be a "Preview Wayback Machine and Replace" button, which would show the cached version in a pop-over with "Do it" and "Cancel" buttons. Even more bonus points for adding "newer" and "older" links to the cache…

  6. Recently my list of broken lists is getting longer but none of the links are actually broken. After I double check the link, I mark it as not broken and then a couple/few days later it shows up again and I repeat the process. It said 500 error today for all 14 links that actually worked.

  7. I have my WordPress installed to a sub-directory on the server root. This plugin is detecting many links in my blog as broken when they are not. What's happening is it's throwing the sub-directory in front of the permalink, which is incorrect. It's happening on links like this:

    <a href="#somePageAnchor">asdf</a>

  9. if ssl/https is activated (only for backend security) with define('FORCESSLLOGIN', true), all links are checked with https instead of http..

but frontend is still working with http!

broken link checker is not working with this, because it checks the https link instead of http link and the https links are all wrong.

a checkbox "Only work with http-Links" or "Do not use https for Links" would help. if checked broken link checker replace "https" to "http" in every link and will work fine again.

  10. I have a huge video website. With more then 30.000 posts. And there seems to be a youtube quota limit I encounter. As a result its says the links are broken. Be mostly they are not. Is there a solution for this?

  11. More and more plugins are using custom post types to create link libraries, image libraries, trouble ticket systems, shopping carts, etc. Much of the new development is in this area, and those are the kind of links and images that need to be checked.

  12. This would clean up the header and allow CSS to be put in the stylesheet where it can be cached by the browser and not served on each page.

  15. An option in settings that if switched on reports pages that load as blank (no code/html on the page) as a broken link.

This happens all the time for me and for others but it doesn't get reported. Would be great if it did.

  16. This plugin (which I love) is banned on WP Engine hosting as it uses too many server resources and, apparently, has been known to bring down the database with its queries. Could this be looked at please, as I'd love to use the plugin on my WPEngine sites.

  17. With a database of over 500k+ comments and most containing 5+ links, you're plugin has been scanning for hours and it's not even half-way through it and it's taking 400MB storage.
Please allow for an option to ONLY SCAN FOR LINKS IN COMMENTS NOT OLDER THAN xx DAYS.
    Thanks!

  18. I have several websites that contain thousands of posts. Tens of new posts are added everyday. All images are hotlinked on external servers.
It would be way too cumbersome to review all broken links regularly.
I would like a feature that would automatically move to trash all posts that contain broken links.

  19. I've got close to 4000 links and climbing, it would be nice to see some kind of progress indicator for any bulk link checks that have been triggered. e.g. we've just "chosen the nuclear option" and its going to take a while to check all the links, would be nice to see how far through it is

  20. allow ignore-patterns. (facebook, linked-in, etc. always have non-real broken-link warnings. nice to be able to filter these out.)
