detected one major flaw, when trashing a deadlink the entire post goes to the trash
Well most said already in the subject line.
I use the very latest Wordpress, just now updated to 3.7.something, but this problem gave me already a hard time with a previous version of WP.
I get a broken link or several, i select them all and apply "Bulk action" > Move to Trash - eh voila, not only the selcted links disapear but the entire post with about 150 other, vital links on it.
Is there something wrong with my settings or is this a scripting flaw that needs your URGENT update??
Yes, the “Trash” function will move the source of the link (a post, a comment or something else) to the trash. To remove only the link itself, use the “Unlink” function instead.

Okay, so what exactly should the plugin do when you tell it to remove a link? Should it just get rid of the link and the link text and leave the rest of the post (or page, etc) unmodified?
There might be some issues with that approach: What if the link was part of a sentence and removing the linked word/phrase changes the text in a way that it no longer makes sense? What about image links - should removing a link also remove the image? What if it's a comment author link that's broken - should the plugin remove the author's name (well, probably not, but you get the idea)?

Sure, i did try that Unlink" function too, but what happened to it is that the URL / link text remains on the site, it's just no longer a link, that's not the idea of dead link removal, there must and should be an option to remove links that are dead completely, not just turn them into a text only URL or other link text that doesn't link anymore.
P.S. please be awre that your dead link removal plugin could become VERY popular once the last newbie finds out that Google now punishes every website containing any dead links!!! So, your plugin helps to keep a website in good standings with dictator G - but, to complete the job there must be a function to physically get rid of a link with it's linking text, otherwise it is still almost as tedious as having to crawl through the site and remove the link manually... hope that is technically doable??
