Broken link when 404 by Self hosted images
I've tested it a few times and I think it's not included yet. I use WP 3.0.1 with the Suffusion Theme and when I deleted an image that is included in a page or post it won't show up in the broken list.
This probably is because it redirects to a 404 page not found. But I would really like to see it come up in my broken list. Is this possible?

If I understand this correctly I'm having a similar issue. I'm using Permlinks like this http://mysite.com/page/ and want the Broken Link Checker to detect any broken links to that page if the permlink were to change. I tried this and it reports the link as status 200 OK even though I have changed the permlink name. When I use http://web-sniffer.net/ it reports the same link as status 404 Not Found. I feel this is how it should work, no?

i was writing an idea but i think it's the same like that.
My problem is that i have a lot of images from tinypic.com and they deleted a lot of images from theirs servers without any warming.
For exemple: http://i44.tinypic.com/10egakx.jpg
it will be good to get support of this.

It would be fine if Broken Link Checker could detect all kind of links which give back a 404.
