How can I improve Broken Link Checker?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Add option to move 'redirect' to 'broken'

    In the current version, recommendation for an archive.org link appears only when the site itself has died out ('broken'). However, in many instances a site domain remains and directs to its homepage ('redirect') even when the site has deleted their original content. It would help greatly when there is an option to move 'redirect' to 'broken' and enable recommendations.

  3. Soundcloud player Check

  4. I think there is a mistake ...

    If you have a linke http:///xxx.xx the Link checker means all is ok. The third "/" is wrong.

  6. Embedded Video links reappear as broken after dismissing or choosing "not broken"

    Possibly send text or email message to site admin when broken link checker finds broken links.

    Embedded video links seem to alway reappear as broken, even after I've dismissed or chosen "not broken." Hopefully you can resolve this issue with your next release.

  7. False 404 erro4s

    I turned this on and got 1400 broken links on 404 errors. When you click on the link the picture is there.

  8. How do I get sources out of Trash? I did not realize you would remove the comments!!!

    Where is the Trash located. I cannot find it! I want those comments back!!

  10. is not working

    does not work on my site. Disabled all other plugins, left blank server load space. Not sure how to fix, please advise.

  11. I would love to try this plugin. It's just what I need, but it hasn't been updated to the latest Wordpress version ( 3.9)

    I also agree with others below that this type of functionality should be in the WP core. Would love to see an updated version of the plugin.

  15. Why isn't this plugin implemented in WordPress core ? It shouldn't have to be a plugin.

    I love WordPress, but why isn't this functionality in the core ?
    In the past I made html with Dreamweaver. I absolutely don't want to return to those days, but there were very basic functions in Dreamweaver that I used daily, which are still missing in WordPress

  16. The four broken links reported today were not broken at all

    Over the past couple of months, it has been reporting broken links that, once checked are not broken at all. Why is this?

  18. Broken Link Checker reporting broken links that aren't broken

    Recently my list of broken lists is getting longer but none of the links are actually broken. After I double check the link, I mark it as not broken and then a couple/few days later it shows up again and I repeat the process. It said 500 error today for all 14 links that actually worked.

  19. Well, your 'link checker', I just found out the hard way, doesn't test for an entire site being down temporarily. don't know fix, but it's a

    plugin said 5 links, all going to same main site from mine, were all bad. By the time I read it, there was no issue...I can only assume their URL was temporarily down. Is there anyway the plugin can maybe 're-check' it's own reported errors after a short period maybe? That would be a great time saver, and make the plugin even more valuable...

  20. Restore deleted links

    Gentlemen, help me delete all the images of my post with more than 1 year, only now that I saw, and I no longer have the backup server, you would know if you would tell me how to restore these images? the plugin has this option? awaiting return. thank you
