The Pro version has been discontinued and is no longer available. The "Upgrade to Pro" link was also removed a few versions ago. Consider updating the plugin to the current version.

Plugin correctly detect (301) redirection. It should be useful, show the destination url in another column.

Give us a GUI to redirect out-dated URLs to active ones. If people change the main domain or permalink structure of their blog, they need to be able to avoid 404 requests caused by existing backlinks. The only way to do this now is by editing the .htaccess or add PHP redirects to their template - not very easy....

I have my WordPress installed to a sub-directory on the server root. This plugin is detecting many links in my blog as broken when they are not. What's happening is it's throwing the sub-directory in front of the permalink, which is incorrect. It's happening on links like this: <a href="#somePageAnchor">asdf</a>

I haven't figured out why internal image links are showing up as broken because of Timeouts when the checker is running, but I don't want them all marked as broken. This is somewhat similar to the request to apply css selectively to broken links.

Broken Link Checker doesn't seem to be able to find links located in tables? At least it doesn't on my site.... http://www.tenpoundbackpack.com/gear-lists/lightweight-backpacks/ for an example. This seems like it should work but it definitely does not. Xenu, for example, has no problem finding these links but replacing them all is so much work doing it that way. Anyway some help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Broken link when 404 by Self hosted images [updated]

I've tested it a few times and I think it's not included yet. I use WP 3.0.1 with the Suffusion Theme and when I deleted an image that is included in a page or post it won't show up in the broken list. This probably is because it redirects to a 404 page not found. But I would really like to see it come up in my broken list. Is this possible?

No it doesnt hurt search engines ranks. As ive been online since 2001 and it only causes a mild repercussion. Never has my site faultered due to any bad links over a course of 1 year. Most of the time that page is probably not even in top 1000 search result page via Google.

But I can tell you what HURTS more.

In addition to broken links, a good value add would be to also find dummy links that are put as placeholders while a site in under development.

Most of them are archived on the Wayback Machine at web.archive.org, but searching the archive is tedious to do manually. It would be quite awesome if BLC could link directly to the Wayback results for each broken link. Even better would be a "Preview Wayback Machine and Replace" button, which would show the cached version in a pop-over with "Do it" and "Cancel" buttons. Even more bonus points for adding "newer" and "older" links to the cache pop-over.

It`s a way to inform them that, even besides the link is not available anymore, I will know that the exactly URL was available in that page once. It will be a kind of a small editor with 2 buttons: "Link URL" and "Text URL" (or even "Title Attribute"). Then I will type what follows and click in this buttons: <del><%%TextURL%%><del> (The url "<%%LinkURL%%>" used here as example, is no more available). In my broken link list I will select all links I want and click in the button: "Replace all selected broken links by the structure". Today I spent hours doing this job using "Broken Link Checker" plugin. With this feature I could do the same in just 1 minute.

I'd like to see an option to have Broken Link Checker completely uninstall itself (delete any options and database updates it made). I'm not sure if this is all done automatically when you deactivate the plugin or not; but if it isn't, I'd like to see an option to do so. Thanks.
